Well hello there! I hope you have found your photos in good order. If not, then be sure to enjoy some of the various photography found here on my blog.
My great GrandFather’s family started their photography business in the late 1800’s, as I’m told. By the time I came around, everyone in my family, from both sides, was into photography in one way or another. Of course, the original Photography business in Mn. is still operating today. My earliest memories of Photography date back to sneaking into my uncles dark room at a very early age. For you babies out there, a dark room was the place where we ancient soles had to visit to process our film. Google it, because I’m sure you won’t find many dark rooms out there to visit anymore! Anyways, my father, while he wasn’t a professional photographer, was really into his photography as well. So, I was lucky enough to have my own 35mm camera by the time I was 8-9. Very cool, for a 8 year old that is! And so a love affair with Photography was off…
Yes, I’m a Wedding Photographer now. After being a small business man for a couple decades, I ended up using my Photography skills so I could continue to stay at home with my beautiful children. After staying home with them for several years, I found myself missing the work place. I know that may sound mad to some of you, but when you are a stay at home parent, you are pretty much 24 -7 year round. I loved that, but I did miss my own business.
So to try and meet my needs to be in the adult world, for a couple of years, I actually volunteered for a Michigan based Advocacy Group, and this volunteering was great. I even was recognized by the State of Michigan for my volunteering efforts. But, somehow, the volunteering began to feel like a job, without pay, so I moved on…to Wedding Photography!
I love Photography, and I’m my own boss. The best part is, I can still be around our home to keep our family running in the correct direction.
That is it, in a nut shell…
